BYU extends winning streak to nine games

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --West Coast Conference women's basketball is back in action on Tuesday, December 20 when San Francisco hosts Cal State Fullerton at 7:00 p.m. PT. All nine teams will be off from Friday, December 24 until the schedule resumes on Wednesday, December 28.

  • Gonzaga redshirt-sophomore Haiden Palmer knocked down a three with .2 seconds left to lift the No. 25 Bulldogs over No. 13 Georgia 71-68 in the Holiday Hoops Classic in Las Vegas Monday.

  • Loyola Marymount redshirt-junior Monica DeAngelis knocked down an LMU record-tying seven three's en route to a career-high 27 points in a 73-72 win over Cal Poly on Monday.

  • BYU extended its winning streak to nine games after a 73-65 win over in-state rival Utah State on Saturday. Senior guard Haley Steed, the WCC-leader in assists, contributed a game-high eight assists in the win.

  • San Diego has won three games in a row and its 8-2 start is the team's best since the 2006-07 season. Senior guard Dominique Conners scored 20 points on eight for 12 shooting in a 69-52 win over Cal Poly on Saturday. Conners moved up to third on the Toreros all-time scoring list.

  • Saint Mary's is on a three game winning streak after taking down Oregon State 81-61 in Corvalis, Ore. on Monday night. The Gaels handed OSU only its second loss of the season and were led by redshirt-sophomore guard Jackie Nared's career-high 26 points.
