Portland sophomore Kari Luttinen is WCC Player of the Week for second consecutive week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Portland sophomore guard Kari Luttinen is the WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Luttinen scored a game-high 22 points as the Pilots ran their winning streak to four games with a 68-49 win over Oregon last Friday.

Luttinen's 22 points are just one shy of matching a career-high, which she accomplished earlier this season. Luttinen hit three three-pointers against the Ducks and connected on nine field goals overall. She also matched a career-high with five steals as she helped the Pilots hold the Ducks to just three points during the game's final 12:31. Oregon managed only 14 points in the entire second half.
