No. 9 Pepperdine Remains in First Heading Into Final Round of Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

For the second day in a row, the ninth-ranked Pepperdine women's golf team shot a 13-over par round of 297 on Tuesday and remains in first place after two rounds of the prestigious Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge that is being played at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes.

The Waves, who have a 36-hole total of 26-over par 594, will take a four-shot lead into Wednesday's final round of the 54-hole event that includes 14 teams ranked in the latest Golfweek Top 30 poll. Arizona State (598) is second and followed by Florida (603) and USC (606). Texas A&M and Arizona are tied for fifth with 608 totals.

After opening with a 2-under par score of 69 on Monday, sophomore Jayvie Agojo shot a 2-over par 73 on Tuesday and remains the individual leader with an even-par score of 142. Agojo is four shots ahead of Texas A&M's Christa Spedding and Arizona's Adriana Zwanck. Both players are at 4-over par 146.

Freshman Misun Cho posted a 2-over par 73 on Tuesday and is in a group of five players tied for 10th at 7-over par 149.

Senior All-American Eileen Vargas (150) is tied for 15th while junior Stephanie Gelleni (153) is tied for 25th and junior Leanne Bowditch (157) is tied for 40th.
