USF Women's Golf Tied for 16th At Kitahara Invitational

(Fresno) - USF women's golf made its 2006 Spring debut at the Kitahara Fresno State Invitational Monday in the Central Valley. The Dons struggled in the opening round, shooting a 317, good for a share of 16th place in the field at the Copper River Country Club.

UC Irvine leads the field after shooting a 3-under 285, New Mexico State is in second with 294 (+6) and Long Beach State stands in third place with 296 (+8). Selanee Henderson sits atop the leaderboard with a 5-under 67 for the Anteaters.

Sophomore Jessica Potter led the Dons with a 78, while freshman Andrea Zwartynski carded a 79 in her first collegiate round.

San Francisco completes tournament play tomorrow in final round action of the 36-hole event.
