USF Women's Golf 17th at Kitahara Fresno State Invitational

(Fresno) - USF completed its first tournament of the 2006 Spring season at the Kitihara Fresno State Invitational Tuesday afternoon at the Copper River Country Club. The Dons finished in a share of 17th place at 626 (317, 309).

UC Irvine (285-286) maintained its hold on first place to finish with a 5-under 571, Long Beach State (+4) came in second with rounds of 296-284 - 580 and New Mexico State (294-302 - 596/+20) placed third. The Anteaters' Selanee Henderson won the individual title with rounds of 67-70 - 137.Junior Kristin Nichols paced USF with a 75 in the final round, while sophomore Jessicac Potter was the top finisher for the Dons at 155 (78, 77), good for a share of 59th.

San Francisco returns to action when it competes in the 2006 San Jose Sate Spartan beginning Monday March 6 at the Carmel Valley Ranch Resort.
