(Palo Alto, CA) - Sophomore Jessica Potter continued her strong play during the spring season with a runner-up showing at the 2006 Peg Barnard Invitational, hosted by Stanford concluding Sunday afternoon at the Stanford Golf Course. Potter shot 143 (72, 71) in the 36-hole event to pace the Dons who finished 11th overall at 620 (314, 306).
USC took top team honors posting a 588 (298, 290) for the weekend. California was second at 590 (299, 291), followed by the host Cardinal at 592 (302, 290). Ohio State shot 601 (299, 302) and Washington State rounded out the top-five at 606(303, 303).
Irene Cho fired the low round of the tournament today for the Trojans - a five-under 67 - to take individual honors, carding a five-under 137 (70, 67) for the weekend.
San Francisco returns to action when it competes in the 2006 West Coast Conference Championships, beginning Monday, April 17 at the Saddle Creek Golf Course in Copperopolis, CA.
