CRESWELL, Ore. -- The University of Portland women's golf team ended the first day in 13th place after one round of the Oregon Duck Invitational, held at Emerald Valley Golf Course. The Pilots fired a 336 at the par-72, 6,191 yard layout. Darkness postponed the end of the second round with approximately four holes left, and the remaining holes will be completed starting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The tourney's third and final round will follow immediately after Tuesday morning, while a frost delay slowed the start of Monday morning's first round by an hour.
The University of Idaho leads the 16-team field with a four-player score of 300. Washington State followed in second place with a 306, ahead of San Jose State (third, 307) and Oregon State (fourth, 310).
Individually, Idaho's Jennifer Tucker carded 35 on both the front and back nine and leads the 85-player field with a 2-under 70.
Portland junior Ashley Williams fired an 82 and sits in a tie for 46th place overall to lead the Pilots.
