2012 West Coast Conference Women's Golf All-Conference Team Announced

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2012 women's golf individual award-winners and all-conference team, as voted on by the league's six head coaches. Pepperdine sophomore Grace Na is the WCC Player of the Year for the second year in a row and her teammate, freshman Alina Ching, is the WCC Freshman of the Year. Gonzaga's Brad Rickel and Pepperdine's Laurie Gibbs are the co-coaches of the year.

Na, the 2011 WCC Freshman and Player of the Year, tied for 12th with a score of +15 at the 2012 WCC Golf Championships in Hollister, Calif. this week. Na averaged a 73.83 and notched five top-10 finishes this season.

Ching is the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Year. Ching, the WCC February and March Player of the Month, finished with a 227 (+11) at the 2012 WCC Golf Championships in Hollister, Calif. She recorded three top-five finishes this spring.

Gibbs led the Waves to their 11th consecutive WCC Golf Championship this week. Pepperdine tallied a team score of 917 over the three-day event, six strokes ahead of second-place San Francisco.
