Columbus, Ohio - The eighth-ranked Pepperdine women's golf team posted its second consecutive third-place finish at the NCAA Championships that concluded Friday at the par-72, 6,203-yard Scarlet Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. Junior Eileen Vargas tied for fourth place to lead the Waves.
Top-ranked Duke won its second consecutive NCAA Championships with a 15-over par score of 1,167. USC placed second with a 25-over par score of 1,177 while the Waves finished third with a 35-over par total of 1,187. Arizona State (1,195) was fourth and California (1,200) rounded out the Top 5.
USC's Dewi Schreefel carded a final-round 3-under par 69 to claim individual medalist honors with a 2-under total of 286 and a two-shot win over Duke's Jennie Lee, who finished at even-par 288.
Llano finished at 3-over par 291.
