Southern Pines, NC - Former Pepperdine All-Americans Katherine Hull and Carolina Llano will be among the 156 players teeing it up for the 62nd U.S. Women's Open that gets underway Thursday at the Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club in Pine Needles, North Carolina.
Hull will be making her third appearance in a U.S. Women's Open while Llano will play in the event for the first time in her career. A member of the LPGA Tour since 2004, Hull previously played in the 2004 and 2005 U.S. Women's Opens. Llano turned professional in 2006.
A three-time All-American and the 2003 National Player of the Year, Hull qualified for this year's U.S. Women's open after tying for fifth during qualifying in Rockville, Md. Llano, who was an All-American for the Waves in 2004 and 2005, qualified in Glen Ellyn, Ill. earlier this month.
