BYU's Lea Garner Named WCC Women's Golf Player of the Month - October

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Golfer of the Month for October.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE MONTH - LEA GARNER, JR. - BYU
In two tournaments BYU women's golf played during October, junior Lea Garner finished in the top-10 both times. In the New Mexico Aggie Invitational, Garner shot 69 in the first two rounds, rounding out the tournament by shooting 72 in the third round. She finished that tournament in fourth place and shot six-under-par. The Cougars took sixth place at the Aggie invitational and had their lowest team totals of the season with 877. At the Rainbow Wahine Invitational, Garner shot 69 in the first round and totaled 221 by the end of the tournament. She shot five-over-par and tied for sixth place. BYU finished in fourth place.
