Women's Lacrosse to Play in Final Home Game of the Season

This Week in Lacrosse: The Saint Mary's women's lacrosse team will return to action this week to play in their final game of the regular season. The Gaels will host UC Davis on Saturday, April 29, from Saint Mary's Stadium at 1:00 pm. Before the game Saint Mary's will honor its senior players, Molly Wagner, Jenny Levesque and Whitney Pappas, for the accomplishments they have made during their tenure as a Gael.

Scouting the Aggies: UC Davis will enter Saturday's game with a 7-8 overall record and a 0-5 conference record. The Aggies are coming off of a tough conference loss to the University of California. In this game the Aggies were led by juniors Katie McMahon and Megan O'Connor who recorded three goals and one assist each. On the season, McMahon and O'Connor lead in several offensive categories. McMahon has scored 74 points on 54 goals and 20 assists. O'Connor is second on the team in scoring having recorded 31 points on 24 goals and seven assists.

Gaels vs. Aggies the Series: Saturday's game between Saint Mary's and UC Davis will mark the second meeting between these two teams this season. In the first game Saint Mary's traveled to Davis and beat the Aggies on the road by a score of 12-8. The Gaels saw mass production by their entire offense in this game. Jen Utley led the Gaels with five points on one goal and four assists. Kim Reny led the Gaels in goals scored with three. Molly Wagner, P.J. Hainley and Chloe Dee each added two goals. Maddie Marsh tallied one goal on the game for the Gaels. The Gaels look to continue that trend when they meet again on Saturday.

Gaels Honor Seniors: Before Saturday's game Saint Mary's College will honor its senior class of `06. Seniors Jenny Levesque, Whitney Pappas and Molly Wagner will all be acknowledged for the achievements and accomplishments they have made as members of the Gael family.

Who's Hot: Kim Reny began the season on fire and has not cooled down. In her most recent games, Reny recorded eight points on seven goals and one assist. On the season Reny leads the Gaels with 48 points and 39 goals. In Reny's last game against the UC Davis Aggies she led the Gaels in goals scored with three.

Next Week for the Gaels: After the Gaels finish up the regular season they will head onto the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Playoffs beginning May 5 in Eugene, OR.
