Women's Lacrosse Ends Season at MPSF Playoffs

Eugene, OR - The Saint Mary's women's lacrosse team ended the season with two tough losses in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation playoffs on Friday and Saturday at the University of Oregon in Eugene, OR.

Saint Mary's lost to Oregon in the first round of the playoffs on Friday by a final score of 19-8. The Gaels then dropped a tough 10-8 game on Saturday in the consolation game against UC Davis.

Against Oregon the Gaels were led by Jen Utley, who scored three goals and added one assist. Chloe Dee and Sonja Kapusta each added two goals and Molly Wagner had one goal.

In the Gaels' game against UC Davis, Molly Wagner and Dana Elfvin each scored two goals and Chloe Dee, Jen Utley, Kim Reny and P.J. Hainley each scored a goal. Dee and Wagner added two assists and Utley had one.

Saint Mary's ends the season with a 4-14 overall record and a 1-5 conference mark.

The Gaels were led by Kim Reny on the season, who finished with 42 goals and 51 points. Molly Wagner had 40 points, including 12 assists and Jen Utley led the team with 14 assists and added 34 points.
