LMU Sends Two Boats to Windermere Classic

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - LMU will send two boats to the fifth-annual Windermere Real Estate Rowing Classic, an invitational rowing regatta held at Redwood Shores, in Redwood City, California. The women's lightweight 8 and men's varsity 8 will represent the Lions at this two-day regatta. The regatta features more than 100 crew races between the nation's top universities as well as more than 400 club and high school rowers.

The lightweights will compete in three head to head races over the course of two days. LMU will kick off the weekend against Stanford at 11:08am on Saturday and will return to the water at 5:24pm to face Princeton. On Sunday, the Lions will wrap up competition against Central Florida at 11:40am.

The women's lightweight 8 lineup for this weekend will be coxswain Candice Matheny, Jill Austin, Talya Courtney, Kathryn Maloney, Lizz Baxter, Jen Glassman, Courtney Bannerman, Maggie Sullivan and Larissa Meltz.

The men's varsity 8 will face UC Davis in the first of two races. The race is scheduled to begin at 6:28pm on Saturday. LMU's final race of the weekend is on Sunday at 12:30pm against Oregon State.

The men's varsity 8 lineup for this weekend is coxswain Vanessa Garrett, Tim Santy, Landon Storaasli, Scott Wike, Mark Stellner, Mike Wither, John McAndrew, Kevin Druffel-Rodriguez and David Cronin.
