LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The LMU women's crew team will send two boats to the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships this Saturday, held at Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif. The lightweight 8 boat, ranked 9th in the nation in this week's US Rowing Associate poll, will face #3 Stanford. In addition, junior Jill Austin will compete in the collegiate women's single event.
The lightweight 8 boat is coming off of a gold medal performance at the WIRA Championships on April 29th. The Lions defeated Long Beach State by a tenth of a second, which helped them move up in the polls to #9. It ties the highest ever ranking for the lightweight 8.

Earlier in the afternoon, Austin will compete in the collegiate women's single. Austin will also compete with the Lions in the lightweight 8 boat. The singles race is at 12:30pm.
