SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference is pleased to announce the 2014-15 West Coast Conference Women's Rowing All-Academic Team. Eight student-athletes make their second straight appearance on the first team.

Three Creighton women's rowers maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA. Senior Jessica Hasslinger (Business Intelligence and Analytics) and juniors Sarah Birnbaum (Chemistry and Computer Science) and Anna Cheek (Biochemistry) posted perfect academic marks. All told, six West Coast Conference women's rowers own a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or better and 36 posted a GPA of 3.50 or better.

Birnbaum, Cheek and Hasslinger of Creighton, Maggie Keller, Kelsey Kincaid and Molly Templin of Portland, Allyson Ward of San Diego and Monica Weaser of Loyola Marymount all were recognized as multi-year recipients for academic achievement.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team. No fewer than 69 WCC student-athletes met the academic criteria for women's rowing.
