Aug. 9, 2006

SPOKANE, Wash. - Rosalyn Radakovich, a senior this past season at St. Mary's Academy in Portland, Ore., has signed a letter-of-intent to join Gonzaga University's women's rowing team this fall, head coach Glenn Putyrae announced.

Radakovich has rowed the past two years for coach Nick Haley and the Rose City Rowing Club, and prior to that rowed for Haley at Oregon Rowing Unlimited.

During her freshman year of 2003 she was in the championship novice boat at the Northwest Region Championships. She was injured during the early part of the 2004-05 season after earning a seat in the varsity boat, but returned to regain her seat after spending some time with the JV boat. She finished sixth in the Varsity Eight boat at Northwest Region Championships. Her 2K time is 7:56.

"We are excited about Rosalyn joining our program," Putyrae said. "She brings in some outstanding experience and should be a solid addition to our program."
