SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University women's rowing head coach Melissa Flint has announced the hiring of Nicole Rasor as an assistant coach on the Bulldogs staff. Flint, in her first year as head coach of the Zags, has now completed her staff with the hiring of Rasor and the promotion of Courtney Haase to novice coach.
"Nicole will be assisting with the whole team as well as taking on the responsibilities of boathouse manager," explained Flint. "Nicole has had some different experiences than Courtney and I and will bring a new perspective to our program."
Rasor joins Gonzaga after a four-year rowing career with Oregon State University. Besides being a student-athlete on the rowing squad, Rasor was a student-intern with the Beavers rowing program and assisted with equipment maintenance, rigging boats and office work which included recruiting databases and compliance paperwork.
Rasor was also the head coach of the Corvallis Rowing Club this summer. She graduated from Oregon State in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an athletic administration minor.
Rasor is a Level I U.S. Rowing certified coach.
