The LMU rowing teams will see their first action of the 2007-08 season this weekend as they compete at the Head of the Marina on Saturday and the Newport Autumn Rowing Festival on Sunday.
"We have been training for two months so it will be nice to get out on the water and compete," Head Coach Patrick Kelly said. "The quality of teams at each event will allow us to gauge where we are in relation to our competition."
LMU will send four boats to Saturday's Head of the Marina, hosted by the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey. The women's collegiate 4 will go off first at 7:40 a.m., followed by the women's collegiate novice 8 at 7:45 a.m. The collegiate 4 lineup has Amaya Lathrop (cox), Becky Nolan, Molly Stewart, Sam Cloonan, and Kathleen Foster.
