LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - The San Francisco Dons' women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Loyola Marymount Lions Sunday morning. LMU's Katie Osbourne had a match-high three shots including the team's final goal in the 68th-minute.
With the loss USF falls to 2-11-3 on the season, 2-3-0 in West Coast Conference play. Loyola Marymount improves to 11-5-1, 3-2-0 in WCC action.
LMU's Nickey Ha and Tiffany Harrison scored their first goals of the year for the Lions at 45:33 and 59:42, respectively. Ha's goal came after Shannon Omahen shot attempt rebounded off USF goalkeeper Katie Hodgson. Harrison's shot found the net proceeding a cross from Lily Sorentino and a header by Kim Feeney.
The Lions' scoring culminated with Osborne taking a Harrison pass and dribbling past two defenders.
Hodgson had three saves in 81:22-minutes of action. LMU's Joslyn Slovek recorded two.
The Dons close out the 2007 home schedule next week with a Sunday match versus Santa Clara. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. PT from Negoesco Field.
