SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's soccer team has announced its 2007 spring schedule, which features opponents from Southern California as well as an Alumni match.
The Toreros will begin the spring schedule on Feb. 24 with a match against Cal State Northridge at 10:30 a.m. and later that same day will square off against the defending Big West Champions and NCAA Tournament participant, Cal State Fullerton. The following week, on Mar. 3, USD will host both UC Irvine at 9 a.m. and UC Riverside at 1:30 p.m. On Mar. 10, the Toreros will then travel to Long Beach and take on the Long Beach State 49ers at 10 a.m. Mar. 24 will be the Alumni match at 11 a.m. in San Diego. The Toreros will then head to the Temecula Soccer Classic on Mar. 31 and play in two matches before concluding their spring schedule against the USC Trojans on Apr. 14 at 10 a.m.
After the Alumni match on Mar. 24, the Toreros will host their fourth annual Casino Night to help raise money for the women's soccer program. This event will kick off at 6 p.m. and run until 10 p.m. inside of the Jenny Craig Pavilion. All are welcome to attend and help support the women's soccer program.
The Toreros will also be reaching out to the local community as they participate in an on-campus City of Hope Breast Cancer Walk to help raise awareness about the fight against Breast Cancer.
