March 8, 2007

(San Francisco) - USF women's soccer has signed three to National Letters of Intent (NLI) for the upcoming 2007 season, as announced by new head coach Mark Carr. The Dons welcome defender Lauren Maris (Issaquah, WA), defender/midfielder Shannon Reimer (Stockton, CA) and attacking midfielder/forward Keonna Robinson (Tracy, CA) to the Hilltop.

Maris capped an outstanding prep career, propelling Issaquah High School to a pair of Washington 3A Championships (2004, 2006) and a finals appearance in 2005. A two-time All-State Second Team selection, Maris spent four seasons with the Washington ODP State Team (2003-07) highlighted by a National Finalist showing in 2006. An accomplished club player, Maris elevated her Eastside FC Red squad to the US Youth Soccer Washington State Championship and a Region IV semifinals appearance in 2006.

Reimer enjoyed a strong prep career at Saint Mary's High School and served as team captain. A CIF All-District First Team selection, Reimer competed on the U-17 SYL ODP Regional Pool.

A four-year letter-winner at Tracy High School, Robinson was a first team all-conference selection following her senior campaign. Robinson played club soccer for the Cal Cougars and trained with the CYSA NorCal ODP State Team and the Central Calley WPSL squads.
