SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- On Friday, August 20, all eight West Coast Conference women's soccer teams will be kicking off the 2010-11 regular season.
Reigning WCC Champion Portland, which made its 13th NCAA Quarterfinal appearance last season, will start off the new season against local rival Portland State. Santa Clara, which also had a successful run in the early rounds of NCAA play, will host San Diego State, while San Diego, the third WCC team to compete in last year's NCAA Tournament, will visit No. 19-ranked USC.
Gonzaga will compete against Utah as part of the 2010 Washington State Tournament. Loyola Marymount will travel up north to compete against No. 14-ranked California, while Pepperdine and Bay Area schools Saint Mary's and San Francisco will host their season openers against Fresno State, Nevada, and San Jose State, respectively.
