SAN BRUNO, Calif. --The West Coast Conference has named its women's soccer Player of the Week for August 27, 2012.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LEXI DEOL, SR., D, SAN DIEGO
San Diego senior defender Lexi Deol is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Deol played a major role in leading USD to a 2-0 week, including an upset win over No. 12 Texas A&M. In the win over Texas A&M, Deol recorded an assist on the game-winning goal, while helping the Torero defense post its first shutout of the season. Deol followed up that performance with a game-winning goal in Friday's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Minnesota. Deol's goal helped USD cap off a two-goal deficit to win in double-overtime, with just 1:26 remaining.
