SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its women's soccer Player of the Week award-winner for September 5, 2011.
JORDAN MARADA, SO., M, SAINT MARY'S
Saint Mary's sophomore Jordan Marada led the Gaels to a 2-0 weekend with a 3-2 win over Northwestern and a 3-1 victory over Cal Poly. She tallied points in each game and was a part of three scoring plays. Against the Mustangs, Marada took three shots and scored twice. She scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute and the third goal of the game in the 33rd minute. In the win over the Wildcats, the Gaels were all tied up at 1-1 when Marada assisted with a pass to teammate Sara Ives which resulted in the go-ahead goal and the eventual win over their Big Ten opponent. For the week, Marada had five points with two goals and one assist.
