Pepperdine's Manning is WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its women's soccer Player of the Week award-winner for September 19, 2011.

Pepperdine junior forward Michelle Manning led the Waves with two scores in a 3-0 victory at UC Santa Barbara on Friday. She then added her second goal of the night on a penalty kick in the second half. On Sunday in a 1-1 draw at Cal Poly, Manning led the team with nine shots, including three on goal. She now has four goals on the year. The Waves are 7-0-3 on the season, marking the fourth time in school history they are undefeated through ten matches.
