SAN BRUNO, Calif. --West Coast Conference women's soccer teams continued their march towards the conference season, which begins in two weeks. A pair of WCC teams are nationally ranked, with two others receiving votes.

  • With a road win and tie last week, Pepperdine remains the only unbeaten team in the West Coast Conference. The Waves are 7-0-3 overall, and are ranked eighth nationally in this week's NSCAA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

  • Six West Coast Conference teams are ranked in the NSCAA West Region Top Ten this week.

  • Pepperdine junior Michelle Manning is the WCC Player of the Week.

  • Saint Mary's sophomore Melinda Madden scored the game-winning tally in the 66' as the Gaels earned a road win at 15th-ranked UC Irvine. That victory marked the highest-ranked opponent that SMC has knocked off since 2001.

  • Portland sophomore Micaela Capelle assisted on both goals as the Pilots downed USC on Sunday afternoon. Capelle ranks second in the WCC with four assists in 2011.

  • Pepperdine junior Anisa Guajardo has a propensity for performing in the clutch. She has scored the game-winning goal in three of the Waves' seven victories this season.

  • Loyola Marymount sophomore GK Brittany Jagger leads the WCC in saves (44), save percentage (.898), and shutouts (4).
