SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Soccer Player of the Week for September 22, 2014.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - MEGHAN O'ROURKE, SR., D - SAN DIEGO
Senior defender Meghan O'Rourke helped lead San Diego to a pair of upset wins over No. 20 San Diego State and No 19 Oklahoma this past week. O'Rourke started as the center defender in both matches, as USD pitched a pair of shutouts. In total, the Toreros defense saw 19 shots come their way, and O'Rourke helped USD not allow a single one of those attempts to find the back of the net. O'Rourke single-handedly shutdown the opponents top offensive scoring threats, and for her efforts, made the job of the Torero goalkeeper much easier.

The two ranked wins gave the Toreros a total of three victories over ranked opponents this season, dating back to a 5-0 win over then No. 10 Michigan earlier this season. This is the first time in program history, that USD has defeated three ranked opponents in the same season.

Also Nominated: Niki Fernandes, BYU; Lynn Williams, Pepperdine
