SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has announced its women's soccer Player of the Week award-winner for September 26, 2011.

JULIE JOHNSTON, SO., M, SANTA CLARA
Santa Clara sophomore midfielder Julie Johnston had a terrific week against two Pac-12 opponents, ending the week with three goals in two games. On Friday Johnston scored the only goal in a 1-0 Santa Clara victory over Washington State. Her goal came in the 78th minute to finally break a scoreless tie. Two days later against No. 17 Cal, Johnston scored two goals for the second time this season.
