Oct. 2, 2007

SAN DIEGO, Calif - The University of San Diego women's soccer team has moved up three spots to No. 19 in the latest Soccer America top-25 poll. The Toreros have also made their season debut in the Soccerbuzz top-30 poll at No. 29. USD is also in the "others receiving votes" category in both the NSCAA top-25 and Soccer Times top-25 polls.

This past week, the Toreros posted another 2-0-0 record as they defeated Cal State Northridge 1-0 on Friday and then downed the University of the Pacific on Sunday, 2-1. In Friday's match, senior Leigh Ann Robinson tallied the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute of action. In Sunday's win, junior striker Amy Epsten tallied both of USD's goals in the win, and for her efforts, she was named to Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week.

The 19th-ranked Toreros will return to action on Friday as they host Cal State Bakersfield in a 7 p.m. match at USD's Torero Stadium.
