BYU GK Owens is WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Soccer Player of the Week for October 21, 2013.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ERICA OWENS, SR., GK, BYU

BYU senior goalkeeper Erica Owens is the West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Owens notched a pair of shutouts and made eight saves in lifting the Cougars to victories over Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. She now has six shutouts on the season, including three in West Coast Conference play.

Owens and the Cougars (3-1-0 WCC) visit Portland (4-0-0) in a pivotal conference showdown between nationally-ranked foes. The match takes place Saturday night and can be seen live on TheW.tv .
