SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Pepperdine junior midfielder Kristine Hilliard and San Diego senior midfielder Taylor Housley have been named to the CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District second team as the organization announced today.

As selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, play in at least half their team’s games and be at least a sophomore in eligibility.

Hilliard (North Ogden, Utah/Weber HS) has made eight starts this season for the Waves among her 11 appearances. In three seasons with the Waves, Hilliard has scored one goal.

A business administration major, Hilliard has also earned WCC Commissioner’s Honor Roll “gold” honors each of the last two years and was a second team all-district selection as a sophomore.

Housley (Eugene, Ore./Sheldon HS) is a biology major who has started every match for the Toreros in 2013, scoring two goals with a pair of assists. Housley earned All-WCC Academic Honorable Mention selection as a junior.
