BYU's Owens named WCC Player of the Week

SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its women's soccer Player of the Week for November 5, 2012.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ERICA OWENS, JR., GK, BYU

BYU junior goalkeeper Erica Owens is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week. Owens recorded her ninth and 10th shutouts over the weekend, leading the Cougars to victories at LMU and Pepperdine while clinching the WCC championship for BYU. She secured a 1-0 overtime victory against Loyola Marymount and a 2-0 victory against No. 22 Pepperdine while totaling 193 minutes in front of the net and making five saves last week. For the season, Owens led the WCC in goals-against average, save percentage and total shutouts.
