Women's Soccer Up to No. 12 in Latest Polls

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of San Diego women's soccer team has moved up one spot in the latest Soccerbuzz top-30 poll to No. 12 and have climbed up two more spots in the latest Soccer Times top-25 poll to No. 14. USD also held steady in the latest Soccer America top-25 poll at No. 17, are up one spot to No. 19 in the latest NSCAA top-25 poll.

San Diego posted another 2-0-0 record this past week as they downed conference foe Saint Mary's College, 3-1 and followed that up with a 1-0 decision over Cal State Fullerton. In Friday's win over SMC, junior forward Amy Epsten tallied two goals. She scored her first goal in the fifth minute of action, and her second came in the 54th minute of action. Christine Mock tallied the game-winner in the 24th minute of action for USD. In Sunday's 1-0 win over Fullerton, Epsten scored her 12th goal of the season as Erika Wesley set up the game-winning score, taking the ball down the right side and sending a cross into the box that deflected off teammate Ashleigh Shoughro right to Epsten, who tucked the ball neatly under the crossbar from the top of the box for the game's only score.

USD will close out their regular-season at home on Saturday with a 7 p.m. West Coast Conference match at USD's Torero Stadium against the University of San Francisco.
