SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Women's Soccer Player of the Week for November 11, 2013.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
ELLEN PARKER, SR., M, PORTLAND
For the second time this season, Portland senior Ellen Parker is the West Coast Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week. Parker scored both game-winners as the Pilots defeated No. 8 Santa Clara and San Francisco to claim a share of the 2013 WCC title. Every goal Parker has scored this year has been a game-winner: seven in total. Against the Broncos in front of a national television audience on Thursday night, Parker hit the winning goal in the 71st minute when she first-timed a shot inside the left post to break a 1-1 tie. Against the Dons, Parker scored the only goal of the match in the 68th minute.
Her two goals came on the only two shots she took during the pair of wins. The No. 12 Pilots improved to 16-2-1 on the year and finished with an 8-1-0 record in the WCC.
