|PORTLAND ADVANCES TO NCAA QUARTERFINALS|
Portland defeated Virginia Tech 4-1 to advance to its 13th NCAA Quarterfinal in program history. The Pilots will face UCLA at Drake Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday at 5 PM. The Pilots defeated the Bruins 4-1 in the 2005 title game, but UCLA has won the last two meetings on their home turf by one goal margins (2-1 in 2006; 3-2 in double OT in 2007).
Santa Clara, the only other team to represent the West Coast Conference in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, lost in a close 1-0 third round match to Stanford last Friday. The Broncos end the season with a 14-7-2 record.
