SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- Six West Coast Conference student-athletes have been named to the All-West Region first team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), it was announced on Monday. In all, 19 WCC student-athletes were named to the three all-region teams, as voted on by women's soccer head coaches within the NSCAA.
BYU and Portland each had two student-athletes recognized on the First Team. Cougars seniors Lindsi Lisonbee-Cutshall and Jessica Ringwood were recognized with First Team accolades, as were Portland juniors Kendall Johnson and Amand Frisbie.
Santa Clara junior Julie Johnston was also a First Team selection.
West Coast Conference representatives on the Second Team are Cloee Colohan (BYU), Michelle Cruz (Portland), Sofia Huerta (Santa Clara), Erica Owens (BYU), Michelle Pao (Pepperdine), Carlee Payne-Holmoe (BYU), and Allie Vernon (Santa Clara).
The WCC was represented on the All-West Region Third Team by Roxanne Barker (Pepperdine), Jocelyn Blankenship (Loyola Marymount), Anisa Guajardo (Pepperdine), Dani Russell (San Diego), Whitney Sharpe (Loyola Marymount), and Meleana Shim (Santa Clara).
