SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Junior forward Leigh Ann Robinson and freshman forward Hallie Huston of the University of San Diego women's soccer team were named to Soccerbuzz's All-Region teams. Robinson was selected to the second-team while Huston was named to the All-Freshman team.
Robinson, a junior from San Diego, had a breakout year for the Toreros as she scored a team-leading nine goals and tied for he team-lead in assists with seven for a team-best 25 points. Robinson was able to tally two goals in one game on two different occasions, once in a 2-0 win over cross-town rival San Diego State University and the other in a 4-2 win over the University of Hawaii. Robinson finished the season ranked tied for second in total points in the WCC and tied for fourth in goals scored.
Huston, a freshman from Leucadia, Calif., was one of three Toreros to play and start in all 20 matches this season. She tallied three goals and three assists for nine points, while serving as a mainstay in the Torero midfield.
