Portland's Lopez, Woznuk Earn NSCAA All-America Honors

University of Portland seniors Stephanie Lopez and Angie Woznuk each received All-America honors witht eh announcement of the 2007 NSCAA/adidas Women's NCAA Division I All-America Team. Lopez earned first team honors while Woznuk was a third team selection.

Lopez was joined by Danesha Adams (UCLA), Kerri Hanks (Notre Dame) and Becky Sauerbrunn (Virginia) as the only four players to receive honors for the third time, while Woznuk was one of 10 players to be recognized two times.

Lopez missed the first 10 games of the season while competing with the USA National Team at the FIFA World Cup, but returned and guided the Pilots to the NCAA quarterfinals. The team logged 10 shutouts in her 12 matches played and ran to an 11-1 record. A defender, Lopez tallied two goals and three assists while garnering West Coast Conference Defender of the Year honors. She was also named the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award recipient for women's soccer.

Woznuk earned WCC Player of the Year honors after scoring nine goals with seven assists. A dynamic attacking midfielder, the El Cajon, Calif. native was called into the USA National Team training camp following the conclusion of the collegiate season.
