San Diego Gears Up For Five Game Weekend

The University of San Diego softball team gears up for a weekend full of action. The Toreros (2-2) start with a single game at home against the University of Oregon Ducks (9-1). San Diego is enters the weekend with a home-opener victory over CS San Marcos defeating the Cougars 8-0 in five innings.

The Ducks are flying south to San Diego with a nine-game winning streak under their belt, most recently posting a 6-0 victory over Utah at the Louisville Slugger Desert Classic this past weekend.

The match-up against the Ducks is set for 3:00 p.m. at the USD Softball Complex.

Following Thursday's game, the Toreros will head across town for the weekend to participate in the San Diego State University Aztec Invitational.

USD starts off the tournament on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. against Siena College. On Saturday, the Toreros are scheduled to play a double feature against North Dakota State University at 9:00 a.m. followed by the University of Oregon at 11:30 a.m. San Diego's final game will be on Sunday when they will face Long Beach State at 2:00 p.m.
