LOS ANGELES, CA - Freshman Kirsten Slouber was named the PCSC Player of the Week for her phenomenal performance last week at the LMU Tournament. The outfielder from Canyon Country, CA, hit .500 over 10 games last week, with four home runs and 11 RBI. It is the first PCSC honor for the freshman, and she is the third Lion to earn the weekly PCSC honor this year.
Slouber hit .500 (15-of-30) over 10 games last week with four home runs, a double and 12 runs scored. She also had 11 runs batted in as a leadoff batter to lead the Lions to an 8-2 record. She finished the week with a .933 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage. On the week, Slouber had five multi-hit games and recorded a hit in nine of the 10 games. She also scored a run in eight of the 10 games.
She currently leads the team with a .393 batting average this season. She is second on the team with four home runs, and also leads the team in hits (33) and runs scored (23).
Slouber and the Lions continue action this week, hosting Radford in a doubleheader on Tuesday starting at noon, and Quinnipiac on Saturday at noon.
