SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference has named its Softball Pitcher and Player of the Week for March 17, 2014.
WEST COAST CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEK
CASSIDY COLEMAN, SR., RHP, SAN DIEGO
Cassidy Coleman helped the Toreros go 6-1 on the week with three wins and a save. On March 13, she held Weber State to two runs on five hits and struck out 10 batters. The following day, she held Fairleigh Dickinson to just two hits while allowing just one run. On March 15, she picked up a save after throwing two scoreless innings. On March 16, she threw her third complete game of the week, allowing just two hits while throwing a shutout. For the week, Coleman went 3-1, 1 save, 1.27 ERA, with 34 strikeouts in 22 innings. Opposing batters hit just .173.

WEST COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
TATUM SCHULTZ, SO., UTL, SAN DIEGO
Tatum Schultz powered San Diego to a 6-1 week and went 9-19 (.474) with three RBI and five runs scored. The sophomore utility player had a .526 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage and did not commit an error. Schultz posted three multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 day against Fairleigh Dickinson.
