LOS ANGELES, CA - Senior pitcher Samantha Lavino was honored as the PCSC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today. The Playa del Rey native earned two victories against Saint Mary's last weekend, and did not allow a hit all weekend.
In her first appearance of the weekend, she entered game two on Saturday in the bottom of the seventh inning. She came in with two runners on and no outs and did not allow a hit to finish out the inning. Her shining performance came on Sunday, as she tossed a no-hitter in LMU's 8-0 five inning victory.
