Malibu, Calif. - Pepperdine women's swimming will compete for the first time in over a month at this weekend's UC Irvine Invitational. This will be be Pepperdine's final competition before embarking on their dual-meet regular season schedule.
The invite will begin at 9:00 am Saturday with the sprint events. The distance meet will start 30 minutes after the conclusion of the sprints, but no earlier than noon. Sunday will host the relay meet beginning at 10:00 am.
The three meets will be conducted and scored separately. Each meet counts as a seperate Division I competition.
Pepperdine will also be participating in the diving meet which consists of 3 meter competition at 3:00 pm on Saturday and the 1 meter dives at 10:00 am Sunday.
Last year San Diego State won the sprint meet, while the host Anteaters took the distance and relay championships.
