Los Angeles, Calif. - Riding a program-record four-dual winning streak, Loyola Marymount swimming will wrap-up the regular season this week with a pair of home meets against regional opponents. The Lions will host Cal State Northridge on Wednesday and Claremont McKenna on Friday. Both meets begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Burns Aquatic Center.
The Lions will enter Wednesday's competition with a 7-5 record in dual action after picking up three wins in two days last week. LMU will look to secure its second straight winning season, after posting its first winning campaign in program history in 2004-05.
LMU defeated Pepperdine on Thursday in Malibu, before topping Cal Poly and Northern Colorado at home on Friday. Junior Sarah Hamilton set a new school record in the 100 breast (1:06.32) when she took first place in the event at Pepperdine.
Teamed with the Lions win the previous week against San Diego, LMU has built its longest winning streak in program history.
The Lions have already faced both the Matadors and the Athenas this season. LMU topped Cal State Northridge at the LMU Pentathlon when the Lions claimed two of three competition titles. LMU ran into Claremont McKenna at the Speedo Cup, where the Lions took ninth and the Athenas finished 14th.
This week's duals will be the final test before the PCSC Championships February 8-11 in Long Beach, Calif.
