Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team will travel to San Luis Obispo, Calif. to face the host Cal Poly and San Diego State in a double dual meet on Friday, January 27. The meet is set to commence at noon.
Cal Poly has had a tough season as it is 0-6 on the season after losing to UC Santa Cruz, Cal State Northridge, Nevada, San Diego, LMU and Cal Baptist, while the Aztecs are 5-8 on the season.
The Waves are 0-1 after falling to LMU 155-139 in a close meet on Thursday, January 19 at home. Leading the Waves was junior Ali McLeod who took first place in the 100 backstroke and the 200 IM. McLeod also swam to a second-place finish in the 100 free with a time of 52.73. Senior Nicole Okuna placed first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 59.03.
The 400 free relay team of seniors Ketrina Lemmen and Heather Brehmer, McLeod, and freshman Haley Wilson placed first, while the 200 medley relay of Lemmen, senior Lauren Velarde, Okuna and Brehmer placed second.
