Lions Head to Claremont for Final Dual

Jan. 25, 2007

LOS ANGELES - Loyola Marymount swimming will have one final dual tune-up this Friday at Claremont Mudd Scripps (CMS) beginning at 2:00 p.m. It will be the last brush-up for the Lions (6-5), who are coming off a big dual win over rival Pepperdine, before February's Pacific Coast Swimming Conference Championships.

Friday's dual marks the second straight season the Lions wrap up the regular season with CMS (7-1). LMU topped CMS 146-116 in last year's match-up at Burns Aquatic Center.

This year, both teams enter the dual coming off big wins. LMU topped Pepperdine last week 172-90 and CMS defeated Pomona-Pitzer.

The Lions and Athenas will begin the dual at 2:00 p.m. in Claremont, Calif.
