USD Women's swimming came in second (609) today at the USD Invitational. They competed against North Coast Aquatics (628), Cal State Northridge (562), Heartland Swimming Association (264), and Soka University (37). Cal State Northridge men's came up on top with 767 points.
USD swimmers swam great at the invite with six swimmers as top ten point earners in a forty-five swimmer meet. Of those were Ashley Swart (60), Kristina Berge (55), Tiffany Lipari (51), Ashley Rose (50), and Nicole Draa (48). Nicole Draa won the 100 Free (55.20), and came in second for the 50 Free (25.45). Tiffany Lipari won the 50 Free with a time of 25.01, and a 55.83(3rd) in the 100 Free. Shannon Harris came in third overall for the 500 Free with a time of 5:19.85, not far behind the NCA top time of 5:13.17. Kelly Coburn also came in third overall in the 200 Free (2:00.06). Ashley Rose took a strong second in 100 Back (1:01.73) and first in the 200 (2:12.90). Ashley Swart came in first in all her events with a 1:06.22 in the100 breast, 2:19.53 in 200 breast, and 2:05.68 in the 200 IM. USD women's 400 Freestyle Relay team (Lipari-56.01, Londsorf-56.96, Draa-54.89, and Swart-52.79) took first in the final event.
