Pepperdine Swimming and Diving Competes at Lincoln Aquatics Shootout

Malibu, Calif. - The Pepperdine women's swimming and diving team will compete at the Lincoln Aquatics Shootout, hosted by UC Irvine on Friday and Saturday. The Shootout will consist of eight women's teams and six men's teams competing in dual action each day and will feature two pools of competition. Hawaii, Air Force, UC Davis, Cal State Northridge, Cal Poly, Idaho, Pepperdine, San Diego and host UC Irvine are set to compete.

Each school will compete in dual meets against the other schools in their pool with the top teams on the first day meeting in the championship pool Saturday for more dual meets. Friday's events will begin at noon, while competition will resume Saturday at 10 a.m. at Anteater Pool.

Last year, Pepperdine won three of its four dual meets defeating Cal State Northridge, Cal Poly and San Diego.

The Waves are coming off of a successful season opener at the Malibu Invitational with senior Alison McLeod winning the high point in sprints, freshman Brianna Blanchard won the high point in distance and senior Lindsay Adarme took the diving high point. The meet was highlighted by freshman Danielle Kimmel's performance in the 100 breast. The newcomer broke an eight year school record with a time of 1:05.55.
