USD Falls To LBSU, 6-1

(Long Beach, CA) - The Toreros record fell to 1-1 after Saturday's 6-1 road loss at Long Beach State. The Beach swept all three doubles matches in jumping out to a 1-0 lead. Newcomer Carla Tamborini earned a three-set victory over Jessica Weeks at No. 5 singles for USD's lone point. Alex Demidova won her first set against Stephanie Jeanes at No. 4 singles, but then suffered a three-set loss. The Toreros continue road action on February 1st with a 1:30 p.m. match against the Arizona Wildcats.
